Cupping massage is another form of therapeutic massage. It’s able to get deeper into the muscle to help relieve tension and bring in more blood circulation to the muscle to help it release and heal. It can also help with detox by bringing up dead blood cells and other waste that’s in your system. The type of cupping used is called, “Fire Cupping.” Fire is used to help create a negative pressure to create the suction when placing the glass cups on the client. The cups can either be left in a certain area for a period of time until the muscle has released or the therapist can slide the cups to massage the areas that need to be focused on. Although cupping is most commonly done on the back, it can be done on almost any area of the body so long as the cups are able to stay in place.
The circle marks that you see afterwards show you the amount of tension that’s in the areas that are worked on. The darker the circle the more tension there is in that muscle. The marks can last between 3-7 days, longer if there has been trauma or injury to the area.

I met Jordan at our networking meeting and was impressed with her energy, wit, and presentations of her massage therapy profession. When she moved locations and went on her own at Spark, I wanted to try her cupping therapy because of my back and shoulder issues. I did not hesitate to give her a chance to help. Her new office is very well planned to create a comfortable healing space and she impressed me very much with her knowledge, experience and caring methods making me feel at ease, while keeping me smiling with her calming conversations.
I have been improving with every treatment from Jordan and look forward to every treatment. Her rates are reasonable and she is a breath of fresh air to visit on a weekly bases.
Please give Jordan a call to schedule a treatment. I know I deserve to be pain free and going to JH Massage Therapy is a step in the right direction.
Thank you Jordan for all your caring and expertise.Rene Morin
